Magazine- Research #5

The fifth magazine I chose was The Nonprofit Quarterly which is known for "its rigor and grounded understanding of nonprofits and philanthropy-" NPQ. The magazine was issued in Spring of 2015. The cover layout is very colorful with objects on the front in bold, white letters. The colors are water colors that involve different blues, red and pink. The font is white, and the titles is behind a maroon background. The ads in the magazine look like they have a hotline for non profit, ads on selling, and other non profit organizations. They appear on pages usually before an article, after an article or in the middle of one. They are all scattered in the magazine. The photo featured on the cover is different colored crates, in the table of contents, the photos show what will be featured in the articles. The articles show photos of what they are talking about such as inequality showing sharks in a fish bowl, racial division and a photo being shown of tangled wires. The photos all have meanings to the articles being shown in the magazine.  The magazine hasn't won any awards yet.
